My story
From family diner to passion for cooking
I am Vittorio Vaccaro, Sicilian by origin and Milanese by adoption, actor and director, and cooking enthusiast. I was born on January 17, 1980 in a small town of four thousand inhabitants Calascibetta, in the province of Enna, the navel of Sicily. I left the island very young but under my shoes there ’è still that land of which I retain the scent and magic. Mine è a simple, humble family that taught me the spirit of sacrifice, the sense of duty, respect.
A Journey Among Scents, Flavors and Tradition
I want to start right from my parents, who very young raised my sister and me in the bar/trattoria where they cooked until late at night. Right there, sleeping on two chairs wearing a coat, I breathed in every aroma, every scent.
I unconsciously “recorded” the deft gestures, of dadàs hands; who for cooking, had an innate talent. Even today in our long phone calls, è food, the favorite topic in a continuous exchange of ideas and creativityà
Italian Excellence for a Sustainable Kitchen
Today I cook for passion, tradition and work, not only for family and friends but also on television, for all those who love like me good food and the product of excellence, which for me means, small producers, sustainability, environment and quality.
From this vision of mine è was born the willà to search for some unique Italian agri-food products that can translate the love and dedication I have for this sector and I have selected some jewels of our country’s gastronomic culture to put on your tables.
